A CSA for Memphis

Lori Greene and her family at Downing Hollow Farm will have a CSA in Memphis and Savannah, Tennessee this summer.

The CSA will offer four-week subscriptions for each of three months, June, July, and August. Each week, subscribers will receive a half bushel of fresh picked produce. Pickup in Savannah is $90. Pickup in Memphis is $100 per month.

Last summer Lori raised herbs along with heirloom varieties of tomatoes, peppers, and beans. This year should be at least as interesting. For the CSA, Lori has formed a co-op with her Olive Hill, Tennessee, neighbors to bring even greater variety and volume.

Send Lori an email to sign up for the CSA or stop by and see her Saturdays at the Memphis Farmers Market downtown. The Squad has already claimed its CSA share. Hurry up and get yours.

Thanks for the write-up. Very interesting. My parents and I take a trip to Memphis every summer. We go to Graceland, Beale Street, the Sun Studio, and then to the blues clubs for the evening. Always a good time!
