Babies!!

It is probably very silly to be so excited, but I am. We have babies! Last night, I noticed that one of our yellow squash plants had a blossom. Early this morning, that blossom was fully open. Considering that the blossom is the size of the plant, I doubt that we’ll actually get a squash from this flower, but still, it’s our first blossom! And then this evening when we went out to water, I noticed that we have a row of radish seedlings popping up!

Now, I was excited about the squash blossom, but we did get that plant as a seedling from Bennett Gardening, so I know it was well taken care of before it got to us. But I put the seeds for these radishes in the ground myself with my own two hands (literally, since I don’t have a trowel yet). So these babies are all mine. And in just about a month I’ll be able to eat them. :D

    Does it not concern you that you just said, you have babies, and in the next breath, that you want to eat them? I don’t know how your kid ever made it through infancy with that attitude.
