I know we’ve raved about it before, and I’m sure this won’t be the last time, but if it’s been a while since you’ve been to Las Tortugas, you need to go back. The new standing special on the menu are the Costillas Don Felix, Pepe’s grandfather’s specialty.

So what are costillas you ask? They’re pork ribs. Quite possibly the best ribs in
Memphis, and that’s saying a lot. These ribs are beautifully seasoned and slowly braised until the meat is perfectly tender, then they’re crisped on the outside and served with fresh salsa and hot corn tortillas. Not your typical Memphis ribs, but they’ll melt in your mouth and have you dreaming about them until you get them again.
